What are your Damaged Book Listings?

Modified on Tue, 30 Sep at 2:20 PM

Sometimes, we may sell damaged stock at a discount, on the understanding that these books do have very noticeable flaws and damages beyond the ratings of our Standard, B-grade, or C-grade items. Damaged book listings are not eligible for replacements.

Books listed as damaged may include any of the damage mentioned on our Standard Book Damage Guidelines and also on our B-grade and C-grade Book Guidelines, as well as any of the following:

  • A tear, rip, cut, or visible scratch on the front of the book/dust jacket or spine larger than 1cm.
  • Residue or marks on the front or spine that cannot be removed.
  • A book that should have been signed but isn’t.
  • Dirty blemishes or marks on the front of the hardcover casing.
  • Dented or crushed corners bigger than 1.5cm.
  • Misaligned stencilled edges or die-cuts, where the central image may be cut off.
  • Endpaper damage, such as tears or misalignment.
  • Production defects, such as a missing finish.
  • Binding issues, such as upside-down binding.
