What is the Illumicrate Fantasy subscription?

Illumicrate Fantasy is our original monthly fantasy subscription box! It is available as book-only, containing just the featured book, or as the full box, which contains the featured book alongside a selection of book-inspired items. All books are digitally signed by the author, when possible. 

Each month, you will receive a beautiful hardback edition of a new or upcoming fantasy book, exclusive to Illumicrate Fantasy. If you have chosen our full box subscription, you will also receive 3-5 items alongside the book, all inspired by fandoms related to the monthly theme. 

Regardless of whether you choose the full box or the book-only option, the featured book will be the same across both subscriptions. Please note that you cannot have an Illumicrate Fantasy full box subscription and an Illumicrate Fantasy book-only subscription -- you can only have either one of these (though you can also have a subscription in a different genre). 

Our featured books for Illumicrate Fantasy can be either adult or young adult (YA) picks.

Our Illumicrate titles can include: 

• Epic/high, low, or urban fantasy genres, with occasional romantasy; 
• Hard or soft magic styles;
• Animal companions; 
• First books from debut authors; 
• New books from established authors within the genre; 
• Titles championing under-represented characters;
• ... and more! 

Examples of items found within our full box subscription option are:

• Mugs, plates, or bowls; 
• Pins or badges; 
• Bookmarks;
• Book jackets or sleeves;  
• Blankets or cushion covers; 
• Reading journals or notebooks;
• Stationery supplies; 
• Jigsaw puzzles; 
• ... and more!

We also have a number of collectible series in our item ranges, such as our popular book pots, @rosiethorns88 mugs, and Storybook Setting pins. 

We announce our Illumicrate Fantasy themes approximately a month in advance, with any applicable content warnings, so you can decide whether you would like to receive it or skip the month.
