Presales are early-access sales of our Exclusive Editions which are held in advance of a public launch date. These presales are exclusively for active subscribers and select other customers who meet the eligibility criteria given for each title.
- If you are an active subscriber then you will have access to presales based upon the genre of your subscription, unless indicated otherwise.
- If you have previously purchased a title from us, and the presale is for a sequel, then you are also eligible for presale access.
- If you are in doubt as to whether you are eligible for a presale, please read each title's announcement information, or contact Support.
Presale listings are found in the Illumishop and are password protected until after the presale window closes or the title sells out, whichever is first.
Before the Presale
The week before the presale, those eligible will be emailed instructions about the presale, including the time and date. If you think you should have received this email, please contact Support.
On Presale Day
On the day of the presale, those eligible will be emailed the password and a link to order. Please note that these emails go out in batches and some email servers may take longer to receive the email than others.
If you have not received the presale password, and are eligible to do so, please wait until the presale window begins before contacting Support and requesting the password. We can then assist you with your query.
Please do not share the password with anyone else.
Please remember to place your presale order using the email address associated with your account/previous purchase.
Duplicate or Ineligible Purchases
Any duplicate or ineligible purchases will be cancelled and refunded before the general sale begins.
If you have placed a presale order using an email address that is not on the eligible purchasers' list that we hold, your order will be cancelled and refunded. If you have presale access via a different email address, please contact Support as soon as possible to have your order reallocated to your correct email address/account.
Many of our Exclusive Editions are limited to one-per-person. If you have placed an order for mulitple copies, or place more than one order for the same title, your duplicate orders will be cancelled and refunded.
Problems During The Presale
If you have any problems during the presale, please contact Support as soon as possible. We can then try and resolve any issues before the presale ends. However, please be aware that we are busier during presale periods and will get to your query as soon as possible.
Recent Subscribers
Please note that if you have recently subscribed, you will not be eligible for any presales currently taking place or starting within the next 48 hours.
If you have recently subscribed and it is more than 48 hours since you joined us, but you have not received the presale access email(s), please contact Support.
After The Presale Ends
After the presale window ends, if the book or set has not sold out then it will go into general sale for anyone to buy via the Illumishop. This is usually a few days after the presale ends, and will be detailed on the title's announcement information.
If the book or set has sold out in presale, then this will be announced on our social media and the Illumishop listing for this book or set will be updated to reflect this. In this instance, there will be no general sale for this title.
Remember!
- In general, only active subscribers have access to presales. To read about active subscriptions, click here.
- If you have subscribed within the last 48 hours, you are ineligible for any presales taking place within that initial time period.
- If you have previously purchased the first book(s) in a series and the presale is a continuation of that series, you will also be eligible for the presale -- regardless of your subscription status. (Please note that this is only valid if stated in the presale announcement.)
- All presale titles are sold in our UK Illumishop (shipping almost worldwide). Some titles are also offered in our US Illumishop (shipping to the USA and Canada only). Please read each title's announcement information carefully for further details.
- Presale access is granted at our discretion and can be withdrawn at any time.
